Wedding Venue Goes Up in Smoke in Russey Keo

Phnom Penh: No fewer than 18 fire trucks were called to the scene of a fire Tuesday morning at a wedding venue in Russey Keo’s Sangkat Chram Chamres 1 in Phnom Penh. The venue was completely destroyed and the flames spread to a neighbouring scaffolding factory. Some damage was also reported at a nearby house. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

The fire started at 11:15 this morning. It’s believed it was started by an electrical fault. It took firefighting teams almost two hours to extinguish the blaze.
